Kentarou Oohama (大浜 謙太郎 Ōhama Kentarō), nicknamed Kenta (謙太), is a friend of Naru Kotoishi.
Appearance[]
Kentarou has short, buzzcut grey hair, black dots for eyes and a strange scar at the bottom of his right eye.
He commonly wears a blue and white striped tank top and light brown shorts.
Personality[]
Just like Naru Kotoishi, Kentarou is a a really energetic kid and the first time he met Seishuu Handa he gave him a butt jab. He appears to have a crush on Naru since in episode 3 he was jealous when Naru paid more attention to Seishuu than him. Kentarou is quite interested in bugs and insects.
Overview[]
Kentarou appears in the last few minutes of the first episode where he gives Seishuu Handa a butt jab when the village volunteered to help him move into is new house. He is seen again in episode 3 where he people await mochi-picking from the boat, yet after being ignored by Naru Kotoishi he picked a batch of mochi, but trips and drops the mochi into the sea. Iwao Yamamura gets angry and punches Kentarou on the head.
Etymology[]
- The name Kentarou means "humility, self-effacing, humble oneself, condescend, be modest" (謙) (ken), "thick, big" (太) (ta) and "son" (郎) (rou).
- Kentarou's surname Oohama means "big, great" (大) (o) and "beach, seashore" (浜) (hama).
